This Cookie Policy explains how SharkProp uses cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) on the website and platform. It complies with Portuguese Law no. 41/2004 and the EU ePrivacy Directive.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to "remember" you - preferences, active session, etc. There are two main groups:

• Strictly necessary: essential for the Service to work (do not require consent).
• Non-essential: analytics, marketing, personalisation (require consent).

2. Cookies we use

2.1. Strictly necessary

These cookies are essential for authentication, security and basic operation. They cannot be disabled without affecting use of the Service.

• Clerk (authentication): __session, __client. Duration: session / 7 days.
• Convex (application session): convex-deployment-session. Duration: session.
• SharkProp (app preferences): ws-brand, sidebar-state. Duration: 30 days.

2.2. Functionality

Cookies that improve the experience (e.g. remembering the last section visited). They do not track the user beyond their preferences.

• sharkprop.signInRedirectAt - anti-loop at sign-in. Session.

2.3. Payment

When you start a checkout, you are redirected to Stripe (checkout.stripe.com), which sets its own cookies. These are essential for secure payment processing.

2.4. Analytics (under consideration)

We currently do not use third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.). If one is added, we will update this policy and ask for explicit consent.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents login and use of the Service.

4. Similar technologies

Beyond cookies, we may use localStorage and sessionStorage to store app preferences and UI state (e.g. expanded columns, last filter). This data lives exclusively on your device and is never sent to our servers.

5. Changes

This policy may be updated periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the version in force. Material changes will be communicated by email.
